Reining Sire Topsail Whiz Slides Into Five-Million Dollar Sire Status

Legendary reining sire and National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Hall of Fame inductee Topsail Whiz has become only the second stallion to earn this incredible distinction, which is based on offspring earnings. The major milestone came just over one year after reaching the four-million dollar mark.

Topsail Whiz, owned by Bob Loomis Quarter Horses, Inc., of Marietta, OK, is by Topsail Cody, another NRHA Hall of Famer and Million Dollar Sire, and out of Jeanie Whiz Bar. When contacted about Topsail Whiz’s latest achievement, you could hear Loomis grin from ear to ear through the phone. “We’re thrilled that he reached five-million dollar status. We’re awfully proud of him. He’s been a tremendous horse.” Loomis continued, “His record pretty well speaks for him as far as what he’s sired. We’re tickled to death to be lucky enough to have a horse like him.”

The Dutch Warmblood Studbook of North America (KWPN-NA) has had a golden year with KWPN registered horses bringing home top honors at the Pan American Games and the North American Junior Young Riders Championships (NAJYRC.)
